Ethical jewelry: All about the manufacturing process
As consumers, we are looking for products that fit our values and social responsibility. Reading labels is good. Knowing more about the processes and conditions of manufacturing is better! Bali Bazaar plays with transparency. We tell you more about our collection of ethical jewelry and the artisans who make them. Welcome behind the scene!
Using natural and sustainable materials
Bali Bazaar avoids the use of plastic. We also ban any animal products including seashells. We value natural materials such as stones, glass beads or lava stones from the volcanoes of Bali. Our collection also uses Bamboo or coconut beads. These sustainable and ecological materials are widely spread and used in Indonesia. We save a tree each time we use bamboo or coconut materials.
We test and certify our metals to make sure that they are adapted to the most sensitive skins.
Our ethical jewelry is an ode to nature and to the colors of the Indonesian landscapes. The use of natural and eco-friendly materials makes it possible to create unique pieces. Choose the natural and ethnic look! Perfect to wear at the beach or in the city.

Supporting the local community and empowering women
BALI BAZAAR was born with the objective to support the local community. Our team is in love with this immense archipelago, which features such a great cultural diversity. The only island of Bali gathers an impressive number of cultural and natural splendors.
Bali is also one of the provinces that is the most affected by the current economic situation. Therefore it was obvious that we needed to support independent artisans.
A community of empowered women handcraft our jewelry. This community of superwomen seek economic and social integration. Some of those artisans are disabled. Others are looking for additional financial income. Bali Bazaar makes sure no childrens are involved in the manufacturing processus.
Promoting crafts and traditional techniques
It is not easy to find handcrafted jewels that are made by local and independent artisans. Mass-produced products are flooding the market. The origin and provenance of their materials are most of the time unknown. Who manufacture them? And how? Difficult to tell. Therefore, it is difficult to make an ethical choice online. That is why BALI BAZAAR built solid relationships with a community of artisans who creates and handmakes jewelry in the respect of the tradition.
Colors and materials. Weaving, braiding and shaping. Patience and finesse. Our ethical jewels are colorful and ethnic, such as Bali and its landscapes. Our summer 2021 collection is an ode to the lush flora and fauna of this magical island. Immerse yourself in the world of these colorful and natural jewels!
Committing to foundations
In addition to bringing substantial income to our artisans, Bali Bazaar supports two associations. These organisations share our values. Indeed, we donate 1% of our profits to BioRock Indonesia and Bali Life Foundation.
BioRock Indonesia focuses on coral reefs conservation projects in Indonesia. BaliLife Foundation supports communities in difficulty and facilitates the education of children and the training of young adults.
What about the carbon footprint?
All our jewels are ethically handcrafted in Bali. Obviously, we optimize our product shipments and manage our stock from France. Having our stock in France allows us to control the quality of our shipments and of our packaging. We commit to offsetting the carbon footprint associated with our logistics through the Good Planet association.
